Graham's
buyers have searched the world to find these chandeliers, sconces
and lanterns. Whether truly an antique with impressive credentials
or simply an old fixture of high quality, each represents a genuine
value. Often, the chandeliers produced just forty or fifty years ago
are of considerably higher quality than those available from current
production. Craftsmen once defined themselves in terms of the beautiful
pieces they created, even taking their name from their craft (for
example, Goldsmith or Carpenter). That pride in accomplishment is
nearly lost today. There are few shops left in which the individual
artisans find joy in producing such fine artifacts. Fortunately, a
number of lighting devices still exist from earlier times when pride
in workmanship was still an important facet of every job.
